Hockley with Vicki
1)
Black Eagle. A famous ale pub which we had
wanted to go to for some time. It had a number of ales that I had not tried
before and my pint was lovely. The people were very friendly but the actual pub
itself isn’t anything too special. Still a great ale pub. 7.5/10.
2)
Lord Clifton. More of a modern pub which was
very busy with people eating. Has a number of ales on though so not bad. 6/10.
3)
The Rose Villa Tavern. A lovely old grade II
listed building with cool tiles and pretty windows. It has recently had a
revamp but keeps the old features. It has a number of good ales and a nice atmosphere.
I look forward to returning here. 7.5/10.
4)
The Drop Forge. A large bar which has recently
been renovated. It wasn’t very busy an had a standard ale selection. This place
was fine but nothing special to me. 6/10.
